I have lived and worked in Edmonton for a total of six years, and it has been wonderful - great apartment, great job, etc., but a year ago I decided that it might be fun to do some international travel. So, I filled out some applications to work in Germany, and amazingly enough they were granted.

Then all of a sudden issues surrounding the international move became a reality: I was so swamped in the day-to-day nonsense of sorting, boxing, shipping or selling all my stuff that I lost track of actually going to Europe. In fact, I couldn't actually see myself going through with it and getting on the plane. But I did, and now I'm in Montreal waiting for my flight to Frankfurt. Next challenge: the intercontinental overnight flight.

This blog is intended to chronicle my move, and share some details of my travels. I'm terrible at keeping to any kind of regimen, but I'll try to post twice a week to share what's going on with me without the incessant facebook status updates.
